Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 can have a huge impact on the needs and welfare of students' lives. Therefore, Guidance and Counseling Teachers consider it necessary to anticipate challenges and opportunities in meeting the needs and welfare of each student's life in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This research aims to understand and analyze the various potentials of guidance and counseling teachers so they can effectively overcome challenges and opportunities in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. in meeting the needs and welfare of students' lives. The research method used to write this article is literature review with content analysis. The research results show that the abilities that need to be present in a guidance and counseling teacher in facing opportunities and challenges in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 are, namely, the ability to use IT devices, communication skills, and digital skills and media development. Thus, this ability can increase the capacity and competence of guidance and counseling teachers in providing guidance and counseling services to meet the needs and welfare of students at school.
