Abstract

The curriculum is an educational force that must be evaluated innovatively, dynamically, and periodically to adjust to the times and science and technology, especially those that are equivalent to the competency demands needed by the world of education. Thus, curriculum changes are something that must be done continuously. In fact, the rapid development of science and technology no longer allows the world of education to be in a "comfort zone" and of course must upgrade the latest curriculum. The curriculum must also be able to continuously encourage student curiosity and motivate lifelong learning; curriculum that can facilitate students in learning so that they are able to realize their role and function in their environment; curriculum that can foster superior student character. The research method used is a qualitative description method by collecting library data, reading and recording and processing research materials. Research results state that the independent learning curriculum aims to realize superior student character. The Independent Learning Curriculum wants to create a happy learning atmosphere. The goal of independent learning can create good cooperation between educators, students, and parents in realizing superior student character
